HALF SIDE RAILS
We have half length side rails available for adjustable beds. Unlike cheaper models that just slide between the mattress and the deck of the bed, these rails are solidly through bolted to the wood deck. The advantage of "half length" side rails is that they help keep you from falling out of bed yet they are out of the way when you want to get out of the bed. Most of our customers use them to hold onto getting out of bed. Two sets can be purchased if you need full length protection. They have a lovely chrome finish. They are easily installed by yourself or we can install them for you if you are in our service area. They are available with a plastic spacer to quiet the bar in its bracket when the massage is operated.
NOTE: YOUR BED MUST HAVE A WOOD DECK TO MOUNT THE SIDE RAILS TO. THEY CANNOT BE ATTACHED TO A BASE WITH THE WIRE GRID DECKS!

ALERT
When you mount the half side rails on your bed you MUST use at least two through bolts and nuts/t-nuts. If you just use lag screws the rail can pull out when weight is put on it!

| This is the half side rail and mounting bracket. The bracket mounts to the bed base and the side rail slides down into the bracket. There are three detents on the side rail so it can be set at three different heights or the rail can be completely removed without removing the mounting bracket.

| This is the half side rail mounting bracket. The picture on the left is upside down to give you a better view of the mounting holes. The picture on the right shows the bracket with the silencer attached. The silencer prevents vibration noise when the massage is activated. However, it does make it slightly harder to move up and down in the bracket.

This is a picture of the half side rail mounted on newer type base. It mounts on the top of the base. You must use smooth headed bolts when you mount it on this type of bed.
This is the easiest type of base to mount a half side rail to. The inside mounting nuts/bolts can be reached without loosening up any of the fabric and you can use lag screws in the other bolt holes of the mounting bracket.

This is a picture of the half side rail mounted on a traditional base. It mounts to the underside of the wood platform. You must use at least two through bolts and nuts/T-nuts and the rest can be lag screws. You will need to pop the material loose along the top third of the base and install at least two T-nuts in the top of the base. You then staple the material back and install the side rail. You can use a bolt and locking nut but you have to leave the fabric loose while you tighten the nuts. The fabric will then be bunched up around the bracket when you staple it back.
