HOW TO ORDER
CALL ME (760-773-2337) OR E-MAIL ME TO PLACE AN ORDER.  WE APOLOGIZE FOR ANY INCONVENIENCE THIS CAUSES YOU BUT BECAUSE THERE ARE NO GENERAL CROSS REFERENCES FOR ALL OF THE MAKES OF BEDS OUT THERE, MY EXPERIENCE HAS SHOWN THAT I NEED TO TALK TO YOU TO MAKE SURE YOU GET THE RIGHT PART.

Once I have figured out the right part for you, there are three ways to order them.

1. Pay by check. If you wish to pay by check I will send you an online invice from my Paypal account. Paypal holds the funds for 7 to 10 days before releasing them to me. I will ship once the funds are released.

2. Paypal. I can send you a Paypal invoice for payment. I send the parts I have in stock out the next business day after I receive notice from paypal that a payment has been received and processed. If you pay Paypal by e-check, it may take 7 to 10 days for them to clear it. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO BE A MEMBER OF PAYPAL TO DO IT THIS WAY AND I NEVER SEE ANY OF YOUR PAYMENT METHOD INFORMATION. This is the most secure way to order. Send me an e-mail with your name, shipping address, e-mail address and phone number if you want to order this way and I will send you a Paypal Invoice.

3. Credit card over the phone. (FASTEST) I can take a credit card over the phone. I will need your card number, the expiration date, the name as it is on the card, the 3 or 4 digit security code and the zip code where you receive your invoice for the card. I will ship all in stock parts the next business day. Call me at 760-773-2337 if you want to order this way. If I am out of the office, leave a message and I will call you back. Do not leave your credit card number on the message.

MAXWELL MOTOR CONNECTOR
A "Maxwell Motor Connector"  is designed to break instead of the motor if excess weight is placed on the bed. The connector nut at the foot of the bed has a "skirt" attached that causes the foot motor to shut off sooner than the head motor.  This skirt rarely breaks and can be switched from the old connector nut to the new one. New beds have the black connector nut pictured here, older beds had a light blue connector nut. They are not interchangeable. We still have a few of the light blue connector nuts left.

Watch a youtube video about the connector nut.

REPLACEMENT HAND CONTROLS
We have both hard wired and wireless remote hand controls.

Does your hand control look like one of the two on the left? You might have an older Maxwell bed. Click here to find out how to determine if you have the current version or if you have to upgrade from the old version.

Prices range from $ 85.00 to $ 150.00 depending on the model.

(note: the low voltage cord on the low voltage hand control is sold as a separate item - $20.00.)

LOW VOLTAGE HAND CONTROL CORD
This is the cord that is use with the E-90, E-91 and E-92 low voltage hand control. One end plugs into the hand control and the other end plugs into the j-box under the bed. This newest version is reinforced at the end that plugs into the hand control. A similar cord is available for use in the Model 810 and 812 hand controls and the Titanium hand controls but without the reinforced end.

I can also make you one of these cords (without the reinforced end) in any length you want. Tthe factory length is about 7-8 feet.

DUAL MOTOR CONTROL CORDS

When you have two hard wired bases under a king mattress and want them to move as a single unit,  you need to use a Dual Motor Control Cord. For the E-90 Series of controls this would include 2  separate low voltage cords without reinforced ends, a splitter and a coupler. (Hand control and cord with reinforced end not included). For an Oki motor set up it is a special cord that has two male plugs at one end and a single female plug on the other.

110 VOLT HAND CONTROLS
DISCONTINUED
ALL OF THE MANUFACTURERS THAT I KNOW OF HAVE DISCONTINUED MAKING 110 VOLT HAND CONTROLS FOR SAFETY REASONS. THE CORDS WERE PRONE TO BREAKING RIGHT WHERE THEY ENTERED THE HAND CONTROL. THIS COULD LEAVE EXPOSED WIRES WITH 110 VOLTS OF CURRENT RUNNING THROUGH THEM. A DEFINATE SAFETY ISSUE.

To tell the difference between a 110 volt hand wand and a low voltage hand wand, look at the cord connecting the hand wand to the bed base. The cord for a 110 volt hand wand is generally much thicker that a low voltage hand control cord. It is usually about the size of your pinkie finger. Some are just slighly smaller. See the picture at the top right. A low voltage hand control cord is usually much smaller, just slightly smaller in diameter than a pencil. Or it will look like the cord that goes from your land line phone base to the wall but with 6 wires instead of 4. Examples are the middle and bottom picture to the right.

HALF SIDE RAILS
We have half length side rails available for adjustable beds. The advantage of half length side rails is that they help keep you from falling out of bed yet they are out of the way when you want to get out of the bed. Most of our customers use them to hold onto getting out of bed. Two sets can be purchased if you need full length protection. They have a lovely chrome finish. They are easily installed by yourself or we can install them for you if you are in our service area.

Click here for some close ups of the half side rail.

MATTRESS GUARDS
Mattress guards are the bar at the foot of the bed that keep your mattress from sliding off the foot of the bed when you raise the head of the bed. While the older mattress guards were flat black metal, the new ones are round chrome and are stronger that the old flat ones.  They are available in several different  styles:
1. Retainer bar that bolts to the top of the base platform (usually for a Lifestyle™ or S-Cape™ base made before mid 2011). These are 6" tall.
2. Retainer bar that pushes into plastic liners inserted into holes in the top of the base platform (toolless - fits Leggett and Platt bases made after mid 2011) These are 6" tall.
3. Retainer bar that snaps into mounting brackets mounted to the top of the base. These are 6" tall.
4. Retainer bar that bolts to the bottom of the base platform (most all other beds). These are 10" tall.

They are available several differnt widths.

TOP MOUNT MATTRESS GUARDS

These mattress guards mount on the top surface of an adjustable bed base so they will fit on an Ergo, Reverie or Lifestyle type base. They are not tall enough to fit on the old style bases with 4 or 5 inches of foam on the top. They are 16 inches wide and 6 inches tall. They require the use of a pair of the special mounting brackets pictured to the left.

I also have a 10 inch Retainer Bar that is made to be used on the side of the bed to keep light mattresses from sliding around when you get in and out of the bed. These models bolt onto the top of the newer model base platforms. They are not tall enough to work on older bases that have the 4 or 5 inch foam layer on top of the wood base platform.

They are powder coated in white enamel.

2-4-6 RISER KIT FOR L & P K-BASE
The 2-4-6 Riser Kit fits the Maxwell K-bases (also know as InComfort™ bases).

They can be manually set to raise your bed 2 inches, 4 inches or 6 inches. Your original wheels push back into the bottom of them to retain your bed's mobility. One set is required for each bed so a dual king bed requires 2 sets. Each kit includes the required mounting hardware.

They are available in 8 different sizes: 2 inch, 3 inch, 4 inch, 5 inch, 6 inch, 7 inch, 9 inch, 11 inch (NOT RECOMMENDED FOR USE WITH WHEELS) and 5 to 9 inch adjustable legs. The different size legs allow you  to use a different thickness of mattresses on each side of a dual king and they allow you to adjust the height of your bed to make it easier to get in and out of the bed. The 5 to 9 inch adjustable legs have glides instead of wheels. The 3 inch legs are also available in chrome. You need one set per bed.

OUT OF STOCK

I have to have these special made. Due to the low demand for this part, combined with a large minimum purchase from the manufacturer, it is not feasible for me to carry this item any longer. All that I can recommend is that you take your old belt to a automotive dealer and have them match it up to a fan belt of the same size.

I apologize for the inconvenience.

I hear from Blair, one of my customers, that he went to NAPA auto parts where they were able to match his drive belt up with their name brand of belt.  It is an FHP belt #4L260 measuring 1/2" x 26". He states that it is working great on his bed. Thanks for the helpful hint Blair.

WIRELESS REMOTE CONTROL UPGRADE KITS
We can upgrade most hard wired hand control beds to the new remote controls. You have to replace both the hand control and the receiver under the beds. These are also the upgrade kits you will be installiing if your old wireless control system is no longer made. The hjand controls on the Maxwell and Ortho upgrade kits may vary.

MAXI-SAFE™ LIFT MOTOR FOR L & P K-BASE
The Maxi-Safe™ lift motor fits the Maxwell K-bases (also know as InComfort™ bases). They have a built in safety switch that shuts the motor off it the bed encounters an obstruction on the way down. It is connected to the bed by an "Acme Nut" that is designed to break instead of the motor if excess weight is placed on the bed. No other motors have these features! The same motor works for the head or the foot of the bed.

THESE MOTORS ARE DISCONTINUED. OCCASIONALLY I GET USED ONES THOUGH. THEY HAVE A 30 DAY WARRANTY.

GENERIC LIFT MOTORS
We carry lift motors for most other brands of bed that don't use the Maxi-Safe motor. If you know what brand your base is, we may be able to get you an exact match, otherwise we have a generic motor that you can use. The plug on the end of the power cord is different for each manufacturer. You may have to splice the plug from the old motor onto the new motor.

The  3 problems I usually see with the oki motors are:
1. bad circuit board (whole motor inoperative)
2. broken push block inside motor
3. plastic motor housing broken

I try to salvage parts from broken motors when I can. I usually don’t have any circuit boards but I generally have spare push blocks and motor housings available.

ANTENNA / POWER DOWN BOX

This is the latest antenna/power down box used on some of the bases with Oki Motors. It has a small push button on the face and a small LED beside it. The LED should light up and flash green when you push any button on your hand control, whether the bed is programmed to that hand control or not. There are four possible causes if it does not light up and flash:

1. The hand control is not transmitting.
2. The bed is not plugged in.
3. The antenna/power down box and/or cord is bad.
4. The circuit board in the Oki motor is bad.

If your antenna/power down box looks similar to this but has a rocker switch on the top, it is the old style that is no longer available.

$90

There is a slot on the back of the box for two 9 volt batteries. They provide enough power to lower the bed incase of a power outage. To operate this feature, press and hold the small button on the front. The LED beside the button should light up red when you press the button.

CAUTION: Be sure to fully depress the clip on the antenna/power down box plug when you unplug it from the Oki motor. If you do not fully depress the clip you will pull the socket out of the side of the Oki motor.

MASSAGE MOTORS

There are two main types of massage motors:
1. 110 volt a/c motors
2. 24 volt d/c motors

110 VOLT A/C MOTORS

The 110 volt a/c motors are found mainly on the older beds. They have a thick round cord coming from them with a small square  4 pin connector on the end. You may have to cut the end off of your old massage motor and splice it onto the new one.

24 VOLT D/C MOTORS
The 24 volt D/C motors are used on beds with oki motors. They have a thin round cord coming from them with a flat 2 pin micro connector on the end. The top right picture is the current version of the motor. The bottom right picture is the older version of the motor. They both have the same plug on the end, the black 2 pin micro plug pictured in the bottom left picture. If your old massage motors do not have this plug, then this massage motor will not fit on your bed.

CAUTION: Be sure to fully depress the clip on the massage motor plug when you unplug it from the Oki motor. If you do not fully depress the clip you will pull the socket out of the side of the Oki motor. In the picture below, the plug on the left has the socket attached. If you are careful, it can be reattached to the Oki motor.

I also have the older style metal hinges available. Be aware though that they can make a noise when the massage motors are running.  If you frequently break the plastic hinges and never use your massage motors, you may want to try the metal ones.

RUBBER CASTER CUPS

Adjustable beds stay in place quite well on carpet. On tile or hardwood floors its another story though, even with locking caster. That's because the casters are made of plastic, not rubber. These rubber cups are made just for adjustable beds. They are deep enough that the bed won't roll out of them and they don't slide at all when they have weight on them. The only disadvantage is that they make it hare to pull the beds apart when you are changing the fitted bottom sheets on the dual king sets. There are 4 cups in a set and each bed takes a set.

$35.00 for a set of 4
