Torqe tubes are the bars that the tube end of the lift motors mount to. Most problems with this part are attributed to too much resistance against the lift motor. Either the arms break off or the bar is bent. The bend will be easily visable, you do not need to measure it with a straightedge. If it is bent you will have to replace it. I only have bars from Lifestyle at this time. They have been discontinued so I only sell them in head/foot sets. For the import bases, the companies that imported them were supposed to hold some beds aside for parts but that rarely happens. Fortunately, these bars do not bend often. No matter the style, the length of the lift arms is shorter on the foot than the head so they are not interchangeable.

This pre 2009 style torque tube shown here has bolts on the ends of the tube that fit into a trangular mounting plate. The post 2009 tube is mounted similar to the clamp on torque tube featured below.

CLAMP ON MOTOR TORQUE TUBE
This is the tube used on lifestyle beds that used the clamp on motors instead of the Oki motors. Instead of bolting to the frame, it fits into a white plastic grommett. Like the bolt on bars, the head tube has longer length lift arms than the foot tube.
